¿Cuáles son los beneficios y futuras carreras asociadas con el español?
Spanish I Starting at the 8th Grade Level....students who want to take AP Spanish 4 and AP Spanish 5 should start in Eighth Grade!!!
Spanish II
Spanish III- Students can receive running-start credits IN THE CLASSROOM with Mrs. Sheldon. This class is a fantastic preparation for AP Spanish and ensures students have the grammar established to be able to focus on language production, communication and culture analysis in AP Spanish.
AP Spanish IV &V Students focus on communication and language production in each of the four modes of communication: Speaking, Reading, Writing and Listening. Cultural analysis and comparison between their own culture and the target culture (Spanish Speaking Countries) is a key element of this class. Students will have the opportunity to earn college credit by passing the AP Exam. Watch for upcoming posts that share the value of these credits in dollars. Students will also prepare for the biliteracy exam offered at Cheney High School where students receive a certificate and a medallion to wear at graduation indicating the student is literate (can perform in all four modes of communication) in both English and Spanish. Futhermore, past post-AP students have had great success on college compentency exams for higher initial placement and often time credits awarded by the institutions own policy. I will help students with this in the Spring after the AP test.
The class is further organized around the 6 Themes.
