A Empezar 
Students- please follow directions at each station. You have 15 minutes and Ms. Ramirez will check your progress and review instructions.
  1. Sign-in
  2. Pick up a manila folder from the counter. This will be your culture portfolio.
  3. Staple a bright pink half sheet into the inside cover of the Manila envelope. This will be for lección uno table of contents.
  4. On front outside of the folder in HUGE letters decorate the folder with your Spanish name, REAL last name and include your period. ​ Markers are on the bottom of the rolling cart. Please make sure they get back into the box.
  5. Next choose one of the pictures of or by our next artist Oswaldo Guayasamin (Ecuador) to color for our next cultural presentation day and glue it to the outside BACK of your folder.
  6. On the bright pink half sheet copy the Table of Contents for your Leccion Uno Linguafolio (language portfolio-this will be a collection of works. ) por favor copy the example. This will serve as a checklist of what should be in your portfolio
  7. Now pick up ALLLLLL the papers from the basket.
  8. So far you should have the following in your portfolio. Check them off as you put them in the folder (copy checklist below on whiteboard for station por favor)
    1. Your Frida Kahlo Coloring Page And ‘questions. (Profe Ramírez will you please add to the bottom of my table of contents)
    2. Day of the Dead extra Credit if you did it
    3. Your Ser Project: If it's hanging in the hall leave it there. If it is hanging in the classroom, you may take it down and put it in your portfolio
    4. Your Quien Soy Yo from lesson One...this is the inclass write on the pink half sheet
    5. Your Pink Quiz Packet
    6. The Extra Credit Dog Reading if you did it

  • Once all papers have been passed back and culture portfolios are set-up, please stack the folders in NEAT PILES BY PERIOD on the back counter
  • Please introduce the classroom materials first by reading the pronunciation for both the red and purple columns on page 76. (15 mi) Please make sure this gets done in all classes. Please repeat or go back to the difficult words.
  • Next, practice the vocabulary for the classroom objects with physical props and by pointing (window, door, clock, white board, eraser, desk, chair, waste-paper basket, table (point to white round one) backpack (10 min)
  • If time remains or students are not engaged in physical lesson, please read over page 40-41 of the book (10 min)
  • Please please make sure students to PUT BACK YOUR MATERIALS!!! There were highlighters and papers all over the floor yesterday. Please put back gluesticks in the basket etcera Next option is for each student to buy the materials.

Los Deberes..homework...notice the homework is the same as yesterday! Please start off Chapter 2 on a positive note and make sure your homework is done for tomorrow!!!!! Will be turned into the backcounter first thing...no numbering- no credit.

Make a word list or flash cards for the red box (la clase) and BOTH purple (las materias and los días) en la página 76 del libro
