Write your answers in first person (yoooo ends in ooo) and write their answer in third person...present tense! (-A o -E) Each answer will contain a stem changer or a go verb or both!

  • Practican los DOPs with all regular present tense stem-changing verbs completing several practice examples as a class and then continuing several more in small group practice.
    • EN GRUPO:
      • The coach (El entrenador) teaches the players. He teaches THEM.
        • Who does the coach teach? The players. Students must be able to infer these questions in order to be successful at double object pronouns next year.
      • The team loses five games. The team loses THEM and they are feeling sad.
        • What does the team lose? Five games.
        • Look for the conjugated verb and ask yourself Loses who?? or Loses what?? to identify the direct object
        • Remember: The subject is the one doing the action and the Direct Object is the football.
      • We buy some newspapers. We buy THEM from the mercado.

  3. Please start the YouTube video within the first FIVE MINUTES of class. This video will walk you through the conversation card. Before starting the video get out:
    1. Two different writing utensils. 
    2. Get a conversation table off the white table (grey paper)

Cut out both a Bright GREEN (E:IE) and Bright Purple (O:UE) colored paper outfits.
On the BACKSIDE OF THE OUTFIT, in pencil write each of the stem-changing verbs and their meanings for each category.
E:IE Hay DIEZ. O:UE Hay ocho and add devolver...to return an object.
Include the infinitive and it's meaning. EJEMPLO: E:IE Preferir: to prefer, Querer: to want or to love etc.

    • Read section 6.3 of your book if you were absent or would like another perspective
    • There are two past tenses in Spanish....Preterito and Imperfecto
    • The Preterito or Preterit Simple Tense is for COMPLETED actions in the past
    • In English, except for the MUCHOS MUCHOS IRREGULARES (swimmed, eated, runned, sended) most verbs end in -ED in the past tense
    • Since the nosotros form is the same in the past and the present tenses speakers will indicate through context and signals the verbal tense
      • Add the following indicators for the present tense: hoy: today    ahora/ ahoramismo: right now
      • Add the following indicators for the preterit tense on the limbs of the outfit
        • ​Anoche: Lastnight
        • Ayer: Yesterday
        • Anteayer: The day before yesterday
        • El año pasado: last year
        • La semana pasada: last week
    • The endings for -ER and -IR infinitives are the same in the preterit tense 
    • If time remains, introduce the conjugations for the preterit tense of ser and ir

    1. Students hw is out of the packet so make sure to pick it up after the quiz.

  3. Glue the yellow HW sheet into the BACK SECTION of Mi Vida on the back of the Lección 4 Essential Questions....you will get to use this Thursday on your quiz if filled out and glued into your Mi Vida.
  4. Project and copy the paper doll for today's notes (pictured above) introducing how to express an action in the NEAR FUTURE on a GREEN DOLL OUTFIT
  5. Take out your Mi Vida and Open it to the Ir-to go Tab
  6. Get a NEW AMARILLO YELLOW HW PACKET OF THE WHITE TABLE AND WRITE YOUR FIRST AND LAST NAME ON EVERY PAGE POR FAVOR!!!!

  1. Ana or Kyle will you por favor label the back shelves nearly to reflect each period? También will you take down all the transition signs and make a neat stack and clip?
