A Empezar: Today’s entry task is a test in following directions.
Work silently and individually por favor once the bell rings.

  1. Sign in
  2. Select a piece of colored paper from the round table and fold into six sections like the example.
  3. Fold the paper in half vertically (long ways) label one side Ser and one side Estar. Box each infinitive and make bold.
  4. Then fold your paper into thirds to create three boxes for each verb.
  5. In the top box for each verb write the conjugations with the personal pronouns
  6. Label the Middle Box “los usos” uses And list the uses you can think of SIN without your Apuntes 📝
  7. Label the bottom box adjetivos

  • Salsa dance to Estar....physical learning activity
  • Review entry task ser and Estar foldable
    • Review and give examples for the uses of see and Estar review the conjugations of both
    • Add the adjectives that go with ser and Estar
      • Specifically Ser: alto (tall) bajo (short) rubio (blonde) moreno (dark-haired) pelirrojo (red-haired) fuerte 💪🏻 (strong) débil (weak)
      • Specifically Estar: contento (content 😊) triste (sad 😢 ) enfermo (sick 😷 🤒 🤕 ) pachucho (a little sick) muerto (dead) nervioso ( 😬) enamorado 😍 (in love)
      • Adjectives that can go either way....but it changes the meaning: verde, vivo, seguro, listo, malo, aburrido (these will go in the middle of the two columns on your foldable)

A Empezar: 30 minutos

To prepare for today’s interactive entry task. (6 min for roll and to prepare 24 min video) with the YouTube students will need:
  • paquete página 14 As students watch, they are expected to take notes 📝 fill out the first part of this page for the conjugations and uses
  • Use the laminated visual aides of the uses that Profesorea Ramirez holds up to ayudar help with spelling.
    • (First period helper por favor...On top of filing cabinet behind my desk far left in pile on top of book)
  • una pizarrita y un marcador Students will need a whiteboard and marker. Split the board in half: label one half ser and one half Estar. Every time the video asks you to choose or pick up a flash into you will write the verb on your pizarritas and show it to L Señora. Ramírez
  • una voz alta (a loud/tall voice) 👀 OJO: Even though I am unable to be in-class I expect full student engagement. I will return Tuesday and expect students to be able to teach me...or be prepared to explain what they learned. Please make sure you are repeating when you hear students repeat...we have our first oral presentations coming up. Start practicing now in a group before you have to do it alone por favor. If students are not participating Profesora Ramírez has written work for students to complete.

A Repasar para el Examen Final:
  1. Sign-In....students get to review until one hour remaining in class. Then must start the final to give directions and makes sure ALL students have time to complete in class.
  2. Sacar el repaso Y corregir la parte de los verbos -AR answer questions and check for understanding.
  3. Use Quizlet to review the -AR INFINITIVOS as a class. If they choose they can challenge themselves to conjugate with second set instead.

Hoy en la clase... today in class
  • Correct only the bottom portion of CP 15 Remind students to please define the words in the box first- talk about how we deduced what the answer was and check for understanding of meaning
  • please announce hw and remind students who have not finished their vhl activities to get them done por favor
  • Tomar the 2.2 quiz on Monday! (Finish Page 5 and Page 6 ALL in your quiz packet)
  • Quiz hints-
  • On pg 5 section 3 the slash sentence words are already in the right order but you made need to change the words (can say they to teach for number one). Also ask yourself if you can conjugate two verbs in a row??? Which ones gets conjugated to show WHO is doing the action
  • On pg 5 section 4 first read the sentence to determine who is doing the action, then look at the two infinitives after the blank to decide which would make most sense...last add the right at ending to show WHO is doing the action
  • On pg 6 section 1 matching the best answer to each question that was asked. Section two define the words in the box before you read the options section 3 must answer in complete sentences. Ojo 👀: if answering a question in the negative must be two no’s. Buena suerte!! 🍀👍🏻
