Hoy es el treinta y uno de agosto ¡Feliz Viernes!

A Empezar: Por favor toman una tarjeta verde y una tarjeta rojo.
Escriben "Terminaciones Presente" en la parte arriba (the top) de la tarjeta verde. 
Escriben "Pretérito" en la parte arriba (the top) de la tarjeta rojo. 
Doblan cada tarjeta en tercios.
Escriben las terminaciones (endings) para los infinitivos -AR, -ER e -IR para 
el presente en la tarjeta verde y para el pretérito en la tarjeta rojo. 

Please take one green and one red card. Label each card as instructed above. Fold each card in thirds. Then right your endings for -AR, -ER and -IR Infinitives in the present on the green card and do the same for the preterit endings on your red card.

​Hoy en la clase...​
  • Revisan el concepto de los infinitivos -AR, -ER y -IR y revisan una lista de verbos comunes
    • Review the concept of an infinitive as well as a list of common verbs from last year
    • Gauge your rate of retention with a pre-test on verbs....remember this is a pre-test so there will be vocabulary that is challenging or has not been directly introduced....that's okay this is a tool not a test!
  • Escuchan la canción "Ella y El" escrito por Ricardo Arjona
    • Subrayan los verbos en verde....first highlight/underline the verbs in green
    • Subrayan los verbos del preterito en rojo....next put a second underline under the verbs in the preterit....how will you know which are preterit and which are presente??
Los Deberes: La Tarea
**Get classroom supplies and composition book. Have all supplies by Wednesday Sep 6th for 5 pts extra credit.
  1.  Book covered...not cloth please...crunches corners and defeats purpose of cover
    1. See my YouTube Video on how to cover your book here
  2. College Ruled Composition notebook & a folder
  3. 3 dry erase markers
  4. Zip lock baggie -to hold your flashitos (pencil bags okay too...something to organize the cards.)
  5. Old Sock (eraser)
  6. Students will be provided with a book and will continue to use the workbook provided last year.

Hoy es el jueves. (El día) 
A Empezar: To start...
Mientras escuchas la música... por favor make sure you complete the following-
  1. Firman la lista por favor Sign-in on the red binder
  2. Sacan una hoja de papel nuevo. Take out a new piece of paper
  3. Escriben "Los infinitivos -AR" en la parte arriba (at the top)
  4. Escriben los numeros 1-30 y escriben los infinitivos -AR y los significados. Number your paper 1-30 and write a list of -AR infinitives and their meanings....as many as you can remember from last year. 
Hoy en la clase...​
  • 5 minutos Revisan los infinitivos -AR en español y crear una lista de verbos que ya sabemos
    • Review -AR Infinitives in Spanish and create a list of -AR verbs that we already know
  • 45 minutos Hablar de la cultura del colegio Cheney y explorar el significado de la palabra "Great"
    • Talk the culture at CHS and explore the meaning of the word great 
    • Todos necesitan una hoja de papel blanco...everyone need a white sheet of paper
  • Revisan los nombres y apellidos si queda tiempo

Welcome to the class of Spanish!

A Empezar: Por favor toman una hoja de papel brillante, doblan el papel en medio y hacen una "tarjeta de nombre" con lo siguiente: Please choose a sheet of colored paper, fold the paper in half and write the following...
  • Me llamo.....and your name in English (& Spanish if you want to keep yours from last year)
  • Mi apellido es...and your last name
  • Mi animal favorito es...and your favorite animal....use the signs on the bulletin board to help you!
  • Cuando terminas....when you finish por favor get a Quien Soy Yo Worksheet from Profe and begin filling it out....en español!!!

  • Introducciones....introduce students to teacher 
  • Hablar de las expectativas con respeto a los moviles 
    • Talk about our expectations and opportunities for cell phone use in this class
  • Revisan la tabla de silbario y los vocales en español ¡A-E-I-O-U El burro sabe más que tú!.....Introduce the vowels in Spanish
  • Usan la hoy de Quien Soy Yo para entrevistar a sus companeros de clase
    • Use the Who am I worksheet from class above to interview your classmates and get to know one another. Write down the answers only for yourself at this time. These worksheets will be hung on the bulletin board next week FYI.
